Daughter apparently stabbed to death by mother’s fiancé in Western Extension

The mother was rushed to hospital.

A 21-year-old woman was stabbed to death, apparently by her mother’s fiancé who is on parole for murder.

The incident happened at a house on Kemston Avenue, in Western Extension this morning (March 5).

Capt Nomsa Sekele, spokesperson for the Benoni SAPS, said the incident happened at about 7.30am.

ER24 spokesperson Clair Wolstencroft said the young woman was declared dead on scene.

Wolstencroft said the deceased’s mother was transported with multiple stab wounds to the Tambo Memorial Hospital.

The Ekurhuleni Central Cluster Task Team, along with the Benoni Community Policing Forum (CPF), arrested the man in Boksburg.

The 45-year-old suspect was arrested and is being detained at the Benoni Police Station.

He is facing charges of murder and attempted murder.
