Crazy haircuts and colours for Cansa Shavathon

Many supported the annual event.

The Cansa Shavathon was held across South Africa on February 24 and 25.

Benonians showed their support at three malls this year where they sprayed or shaved their hair.

The three host centres were Northmead Square, Northmead Mall and Lakeside Mall.

Brother and sister duo Grathon (8) and Kecedra (10) Peterson sprayed red and blue stripes on their hair for cancer awareness. They were at Northmead Mall.
Friends Virginia Sun (18) and Jae-Eun Parks (15) added some red to their hair at the Cansa Shavathon at Northmead Mall on Saturday.
The Ntuli brothers sprayed their hair at Lakeside Mall over the weekend. Lubanzi (10) chose a bright red and Kwandile’s (9) colours were green and blue.
The Snyman family sprayed their hair red and silver. Amber (9) opted for some blue as well. With her is mom Irene and sister Jordan (5).
Melissa and Tegan (5) Kinchin made the Cansa Shavathon a mother-daughter affair. They sprayed their hair yellow, red, orange and blue to support the cause.
Keshveer Singh and Rinola Reddi sprayed their hair silver and red at Lakeside Mall on Saturday.
Dad David Gericke and 10-year-old Dashay went to get their hair sprayed at Northmead Mall on Saturday.
Power couple Daniel Casper and Eryn Martins shaved their hair in honour of Casper’s mother who died of breast cancer.
Little Shontae Bekker (5) decided to get funky at Northmead Square by adding some pink to her red hair.
Dave Wynne works as a hobbyist in the Northmead Mall. He took a quick break from work to spray his hair to show his support for the cause.
Ralph McKelvin shaved his hair at Lakeside Mall on Saturday. He said he is passionate about the Cansa Shavathon as he has lost many dear friends to cancer.
