LISTEN: Message from Pug Rescue: Adopt, don’t shop

People attended the event with their best friend, a pug.

Pug Rescue held its monthly fund-raiser on February 10 in Brentwood Park.

Dogs and their owners, dressed in red, enjoyed a day out.

As part of the theme, owners could take a Valentine’s Day picture with their dogs.

People came from as far as Weltevreden Park to attend the event.

“We saw the event on the Pug Rescue Facebook page and decided we wanted to come,” said Dominique Freeborough.

According to Malcom Gaw, chairperson of Pug Rescue SA, many people who have adopted a pug from the organisation come back to visit with their dogs.
