A 39-year-old man was arrested on a charge of business robbery on February 7.
The man was arrested in Mayfield Extension One, Putfontein.
Putfontein SAPS spokesperson Const Justice Ramaube said a restaurant was robbed in Mayfield Square on January 7.
“It is alleged that two men were sitting near the restaurant when the complainant opened the store,” said Ramaube.

“Immediately after opening the store, the two men pointed a firearm at him, demanded money and keys to the safe.”
Ramaube said after robbing the man, the suspects locked him in the storeroom.
They then fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
The man is expected to appear in the Benoni Magistrate’s Court today (February 12), while his accomplice is still at large.
