The Beautiful Gardens of Benoni is due to take place this weekend.
It is an annual fund-raiser hosted by the Rotary Anns of the Rotary Club of Benoni Van Ryn.
The event has been running for 19 years and will take place on January 27 and 28.
“This is our primary fund-raising event, and our ability to assist the needy hinges on the success of Beautiful Gardens of Benoni,” said Rotary Anns member Judy Bath.
People can view gardens at the following addresses:
• Stewart and Vicki McFarlane – 21 Ambleside Avenue, Lakefield.
• Hermanus and Antoinette Swanepoel – 3 Sunnyside Avenue, Lakefield.
• Maureen and Neville Cornish – 8 Amarella Street, Alphen Park.
• Helen Pollack – 44 Deane Crescent, Northmead Extension Seven.
• Jen and Vic Anderson – 3 Joubert Street, Rynfield.
• Tea Garden: Nick and Charmaine Cole-Niven – 6 Leyds Street, Morehill.
The garden of Jean and Bronwyn Crafford has been withdrawn as a massive tree came down during a storm and caused considerable damage.
Tickets are R30 to visit all six gardens – they are available at all the gardens and are valid for both days.
Gates will be open from 10am to 4.30pm.
