Man found dead in Daveyton

Police are investigating a case of murder after a man believed to be in his late 30s was found dead on Embalenhle Street in Gabon, Daveyton.

The man was found this morning (December 11) at around 12.30am.

Daveyton SAPS spokesperson Capt Mesh Makole said police were called to the scene and they found the man lying on the street with stab wounds on his body.

“Paramedics assessed the man and he was declared dead at the scene,” said Makole.

The motive of the killing is unknown.

The person’s body was taken to a government mortuary.

Police urge anyone related to the man or with any information to call 011 845 9800 or 10111.
