Benoni has a variety of charity shops that generate income for local charities.
The community is encouraged to show support by donating or purchasing a few items from these shops.

•Hospice East Rand (Western Extension):
Address: Corner of Bright Street and Kempston Avenue and 17 D Waterson Street, Rynfield.
Items sold: Clothing and household goods.
Operating hours: 9am to 4pm (Monday to Friday).

•Benoni SPCA (Lakefield):
Address: 3 Klein Street.
Items Sold: Books, clothing and household goods.
Operating hours: 9am to 2pm (Monday to Friday) and 9am until noon (Saturday).

•Kids Haven (Benoni CBD):
Address: Cranbourne Avenue or on the corner of Woburn Avenue and Russel Street.
Items Sold: Clothing, toys, books and households goods and collectables.
Operating hours: 8.30am to 4pm (Monday to Friday).

•Home-Start SA (Western Extension):
Address: 18 Mowbray Avenue.
Items sold: Clothing, books, ornaments, household goods.
Operating hours: 9am to 1pm (Monday, Wednesday and Friday).

•Methodist Homes – Eddy House (Western Extension):
Address: 133 Ampthill Avenue.
Items sold: Cutlery, furniture, household goods and ornaments.
They don’t accept clothing and books.
Operating hours: 9.30am to noon (Monday to Friday).

•Fairleads Retirement Village (Fairleads):
Address: Corner of James and Pretoria roads.
Items sold: Books, magazines, clothing, jewellery, baby items, knitwear and ornaments.
Operating hours: noon to 1.30pm (Friday) and 2pm to 3.30pm (Sunday).

•The Greater Benoni Child Welfare (Northmead):
Address: Number One, Third Street.
Items sold: Second-hand goods, blankets, clothing.
Operating hours: 10am to 2pm (Monday to Friday).

•Salvation Army (Benoni CBD):
Address: 9 Rothsay Street.
Items sold: Household goods, toys, furniture and clothing.
Operating hours: 8am to 4pm (Monday to Friday).
