The man was found on September 17 at about 6.35am.
Daveyton SAPS spokesperson Capt Mesh Makole said when police arrived on scene, they found the body of an unknown man with a bullet wound to his upper body.
“He was found with his car keys next to him,” said Makole.
The man, believed to be in his 30s, was wearing black jeans and a white T-shirt.
Paramedics declared the man dead on scene.
Police urge anyone related to the man or with any information to call 011 845 9800 or 10111.
