Local DJ steals the show
Daveyton resident Kutloano ‘Da Kruk’ Nhlapo (29) is going to Ibiza with Black Coffee after winning the AXE ‘Find Your Magic’ competition.
After a three month search, on August 31 in Sandton, Nhlapo finally battled it out with four other contestants and AXE, together with Black Coffee, found Benoni’s star a worthy up-and-coming DJ.

The grand prize includes a VIP experience and a chance to play a set with Black Coffee in Ibiza, the party capital of the world.
“Playing alongside internationally recognised DJs like Black Coffee in South Africa, let alone in Ibiza, is a dream come true,” Nhlapo said.
“Thank you to AXE for making my dream a reality. I cannot wait to travel to Ibiza.”
Each finalist played a 20-minute set to show their magic and impress Black Coffee.
But it was the Benoninian who caught his attention and is now on his way to party it up with three other winning DJs from Ethiopia, Nigeria and Zambia in showcasing their DJ skills in Ibiza.
“AXE believes every guy has a special magic and something unique that makes them who they are,” said Ryan Fauconier, AXE brand manager.
“In partnering with Black Coffee, this campaign was about finding someone who has found their magic and giving them the chance to show their talent on a global stage.”
Nhlapo will jet off to Ibiza on September 28.
