Dance for the SPCA

Whip out your dancing shoes to boogie yourself back to the '70s while supporting the Benoni SPCA at the Barnyard Theatre, Emperors Palace on September 30.

Miss Benoni, Victoria Welthagen, is hosting the family event.

“All proceeds go to the Benoni SPCA,” the beauty said.

“The theme is ‘Blame it on the Boogie’, the greatest ’70s party of all time.”

Blame it on the Boogie is a celebration of disco, funk, rock and soul music with songs such as Love Is In The Air, Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, Hot Stuff, Disco Inferno, Mamma Mia, Kung Fu Fighting and more.

Tickets cost R200 per person and can be purchased from the organisers, or at the Rynfield Terrace Spar.

Welthagen said those who do not want to buy a ticket but would still like to donate to this worthy cause – be it in the form of finance or animal food or other items – can contact the organisers for more information.

Contact the organisers on 082 888 0513 or 078 751 5186.

Doors open at 6.30pm.

“[Your] own food can be brought to the event, but beverages have to be purchased at the Barnyard,” Welthagen added.
