Two hospitalised after three separate accidents in Benoni

Two people were hospitalised and four others slightly injured in three separate accidents in Benoni last night and early this morning (July 29).

The first happened in Brentwood Park, on the corner of Celia Nestadt Road and Stokroos Street.

Sanjay Sukdeo, ER24 spokesperson, said the single-vehicle crash happened at about 8.40pm yesterday (July 28).

He said a man who sustained moderate injuries was transported to the Tambo Memorial Hospital.

In another incident at about 9.20pm yesterday, two vehicles collided on the N12 between the two Etwatwa turn offs, when travelling towards Johannesburg.

A moderately injured man was transported to the Far East Rand Hospital.

In a third crash, two vehicles collided on Du Randt Road, in Putfontein, at about 5am.

Sukdeo said four slightly injured people chose not to be transported to hospital.
