Four hurt in Voortrekker bridge crash

Four people were injured in a two-vehicle collision this morning (June 30) in Northmead.

The two-vehicle accident happened on the Voortrekker Street bridge at around 8.30am.

Waldo Zweep, an ER24 paramedic, said one taxi passenger sustained moderate injuries while the other three taxi passengers who were hurt sustained minor injuries.

“All patients were transported to local hospitals,” said Zweep.

The drivers of the taxi and the Mercedes-Benz were not injured.
