Man stabbed in CBD

A man was left in a critical condition after being stabbed several times today (June 19).

The incident occurred on Cranbourne Avenue, in the CBD.

“ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at approximately 1pm, finding the man seated on the pavement,” said Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson.

“Paramedics quickly assessed the man and found that he had sustained several stab wounds and was in a critical condition.

“The man was treated for his injuries and was provided with advanced life support interventions, in an effort to stabilise his condition.”

The victim was transported to the Tambo Memorial Hospital.

Meiring said it is believed the man was stabbed by his friend after an alleged argument.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
