Boutique helps young ladies prepare for matric farewell

Celebrity stylists Louis Fritz and Sarah Swoon as well as stylist Garth O’Sullivan put their skills to work on the make-up and hair styling of the models.

The event was held to give high school girls a taste of what to expect on the evening of their farewell and also gave moms and daughters a chance to get helpful tips and advice on dresses, hair and make-up.

These are some of the tips from the experts:

• Always buy a dress you can wear again.

• Aim for an elegant, trendy and tasteful look.

• Be yourself. You are a unique and should enhance your own personality.

• Plan ahead. Do your research and book hair and make-up appointments well in advance.

• Have a little touch-up/survival kit handy on the night.

• Be comfortable in your dress and with your hair and make-up.

• Pack a pair of flats for the after party.

• Choose the best dress for your figure.
