Benoni says goodbye to Rynfield Hardware owner

The owner of Rynfield Hardware, Gary Brice, died on May 11, aged 58.

Brice owned the hardware store for 18 years.

The Northmead resident was born on July 12, 1958, at Life the Glynnwood Hospital.

He was in the hardware industry for 35 years.

According to his wife Beverley, her husband supported a number of charities over the years, such as Benoni Animal Rescue Centre (Barc) and the Haven Care Centre, among others.

She said Brice’s knowledge of the hardware industry and his willingness to assist and share that knowledge will be greatly missed.

Beverley said her husband was a compassionate man who will be sorely missed by friends and family.

“We would like to thank all our friends and customers for the beautiful flowers and messages of condolences we received,” she said.

“It’s a true testament to the man he was.”

Brice, who died from cancer, leaves behind his wife and their daughter Claire.

His funeral was held at the Northfield Methodist Church on May 17.
