Farrarmere Primary expands

After four years of planning and hard work, Farrarmere Primary School held the grand opening of The Invictus Block on March 4.

The school played host to invited guests who were welcomed by the principal, Fiona Stansfeld, who also cut the ribbon and delivered a speech.

“The Invictus Block comes as a celebration of the school turning 40 years old,” Stansfeld said.

She also thanked the parents, staff, the City Times, prefects and others for attending the celebratory evening.

According to Stansfeld, the building was created for sport, art, drama, technology and music purposes.

The evening progressed with several swimmers testing the new swimming pool, including guest swimmers and past and present learners of the school.

The event also involved a plaque unveiling and, after formalities were completed, guests were invited to socialise over cheese and wine.
