Concert strikes the right notes
Several musical groups gathered at the Gereformeerde Kerk Benoni, on Sunday afternoon (November 27), to entertain the audience at the Songs of Praise 2016 concert.
The Cantare Jubiloso Choir, Johannesburg Festival Orchestra, M7 Ensemble, Nicholis Louw, Kevin Leo and Charlotte Kilian took to the stage, to produce a three-hour concert in the packed church.
“This is the third year that this concert has been held in Benoni,” said the marketing co-ordinator of Cantare Jubiloso, Lanie Coetzer.
“Next year we will hold the concert again, at the same venue, on November 26.”
According to Coetzer, the Songs of Praise concert is conducted every year, as a Christmas celebration.
This year, Richard Cock conducted the concert.
