Murder case postponed
Robbery and murder suspect, Tawfak Gepril, will make his fourth appearance in the Benoni Magistrate’s Court on October 24.
Gepril was arrested in connection with the death of a man whose burnt body was found in Putfontein on September 23.
According to Tryna Maritz, Ekurhuleni Central Cluster spokesperson, the body was discovered in an open veld.
Gepril was arrested and made his first appearance at the Benoni Magistrate’s Court on October 7 which was postponed to October 12 for legal aid.
He made his second appearance on October 12 at the Benoni Magistrate’s Court after receiving legal aid and the case was postponed to October 18 for an identity parade.
After making his third appearance on October 18, the case was postponed to October 24 for a bail application.
