SPCA Cheer Fund yet to receive its first donation

The annual Benoni SPCA Cheer Fund has been open for a week, and no donations have yet been received.

There is, however, still time to do so.

The Cheer Fund will be open until January and the money raised during this time will be used towards building a veterinary clinic on the premises.

Do not forget to also enrol your children into the SPCA tour, which will be taking place every second week at a cost of R150 per child.

According to Finnemore, each person will receive a goodie bag and participate in an educational tour of the premises, at 3 Klein Street, Lakefield.

The tour dates are: October 14 and 28, November 11 and 25, December 9 and 23 and January 6 and 20.

All the participants will be photographed during each tour and the pictures will be published in the City Times.

Entry fees are payable to the SPCA, with the child’s name and surname, by the Wednesday prior to the Friday of the tour date.

Businesses and community members may also donate any funds or goods to the society, so that they can continue helping destitute animals.

Each week, the names of the previous week’s contributors will be published.

Anyone who donates to the SPCA and wants their donations to be published in the City Times, can email their name and the amount of the donation to sheinar@caxton.co.za

The Benoni SPCA can be contacted on 011 894 2814/5.
