Neighbours have no manners

Mrs Dunn writes:

Whilst we appreciate that people come around and collect plastic bottles for recycling to make a living, I cannot for one moment understand the reasoning behind neighbours or people living in our street who put their garbage bags outside my gate, which forces me to clean up the mess!

For two weeks we have kept out garbage bags – which are usually no more than two – in our premises until late in the afternoon as we know that the garbage only gets collected late in the day.

Twice there were seven bags outside, all torn, leaving a complete mess for my husband and I to clean up.

We do not drink and the amount of booze bottles that we have to pick up is absolutely astounding.

I even had to resort to using water to wash my pavement as there was white stuff on the pavement.

I am not well and find it hard to cope at the best of times and try and make my life easier in all aspects.

I do not see why we have to be subjected to cleaning up other people’s garbage as they do not want to and simply put their garbage outside other people’s homes.

Next week, unbeknown to them, I am going to hide in my garden and catch who is doing this.

I will then send Benoni City Times a photo after calling the local security company to address the issue with them.

Have they no manners?

Isn’t it sad that we have to live in times like these where there is simply no regard for other people?
