Community packs meals for the less fortunate

Over 30 people braved the cold weather to pack meals for those less fortunate at the Northfield Methodist Church, recently.

Lisa Johnson stands with Gary Leahy and Khaya Mnyanda. Leahy is homeless and helped pack food parcels on the evening.

A total of 8 000 meals were distributed, a large amount of which were donated to the John Wesley Community Centre.

Some of the participants also geared up to beat the cold weather, as they staged a Sympathy Sleep-out.
