Free clinic at local church
The Northmead Baptist Church offers a free clinic service every second Saturday.
The church, situated at the corner of 13th Avenue and Aerodrome Drive, runs the free clinic under their Mercy Ministry Organisation.
The clinic offers blood pressure, glucose testing and cholesterol testing.
The clinic is open every alternate Saturday, from 8.30am until noon.
Northmead Baptist Church’s the Rev Adrian Nathaniel said their main purpose for the clinic is to bring health awareness to the community.
“This ministry connects with medical professionals who give their time to make a difference in our communities,” he said.
“The clinic is open to anyone, at no fee.”
Nathaniel urges the community to donate cholesterol finger sticks, as they can be very expensive.
The church also welcomes vegetables and canned food for their soup kitchen.
