Market supports the hungry

The All Souls Church, in Northmead, held a market from 7am to 1pm on July 2.

The market, which has been running for 30 years, is held at the beginning of every month, and a tea garden at the end of every month.

Community members are given a chance to sell all kinds of things that may be of interest to the public, at a fee of R20 per table. At the end of the market, 10 per cent of the proceeds that each stallholder makes is given to the church and used for its feeding scheme.
