However, according to some residents from Benoni North Agricultural Holdings and Rynfield, their power was still off at that time.
The metro said all power should be restored to the affected areas and that there might be isolated incidents of no power in Benoni.
The electrical supply was switched off in several areas on Monday evening.
According to metro spokesperson Zweli Dlamini, the cause was a cable fault at a Rynfield substation, in Pretoria Road.
