EMPD recovers drugs worth R15 000, arrests man

A man was arrested in Actonville for being in possession of drugs worth an estimated R15 000 on June 11.

“The EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit received information about a house in Actonville that is frequented by dodgy individuals at all hours of the day,” said EMPD spokesperson Lieut-Col Wilfred Kgasago.

“The community suspicions were that the house was involved in some criminality.”

Kgasago said authorities monitored the house and the movements of the owner for a couple of days, after which the metro police raided the house at 7pm on June 11.

The EMPD found 47 bags of the drug CAT.

The 28-year-old home owner was arrested and charged with possession and dealing in illicit substances at the Actonville Police Station.
