Lloyd will be missed

Rynfield resident Dylan Lloyd (24) died on June 1, soon after developing pneumonia.

Lloyd was involved in a car accident on January 30, on Sports Road, in Fairleads.

His aunt, Monica Rustage, said he was airlifted to Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital following the crash.

“He had suffered severe brain damage and was in a coma for about a month,” she added.

“He then moved into a vegetative state and was transferred to Edenvale Hospital, where he passed away after developing pneumonia on May 30.

“His body was just too weak to fight this.”

Rustage said family and friends will miss Lloyd.

“Dylan didn’t wear his heart on his sleeve; he was a true friend and was always smiling,” she said.

“Though he could be quiet at times, you knew that he would always be there for you.

“We will miss his gorgeous dimples and his true love for his family and friends.”

Lloyd leaves behind his mother, Doretta Lloyd, father, Leith Manning and siblings Connor Lloyd and Maxine Manning.

Lloyd’s funeral was due to be held on June 8, at 2pm, at the Northfield Methodist Church.
