The truck was hijacked on the evening of April 13 on the N3 highway.
The metro police’s Equestrian Unit (Bromberg) was notified about the hijacked truck by a tracking company.
“They followed the signals and the truck was found with the load of nappies,” said Crystal Park police spokesperson Tryna Maritz.
“It is alleged that the hijackers were busy offloading the goods.”
It was recovered on Springs Road, Petit, at around 7am the following day.
“A South African man (36) was arrested for possession of suspected stolen property,” said Maritz.
“He was expected to appear in the Benoni Magistrate Court on April 15.”
