“A truck was hijacked last night (April 13) on the N3 highway,” said Crystal Park police spokesperson Tryna Maritz.
“A tracking company followed the signal and found the truck in Petit.”
The vehicle was found on Springs Road at around 7am on Thursday (April 14).
The Metro Police’s Equestrian Unit (Bromberg) was notified about the hijacked truck by the tracking company.
“They followed the signals and the truck was found with the load of nappies,” Maritz said.
“It is alleged that the hijackers were busy offloading the goods.”
Maritz could not confirm how many suspects had been arrested at the time of going to print.
No further details were provided about the suspects’ arrests and appearance in court, as members of the police are still busy on the scene.
