Hunting for Easter eggs

Among the many festivities which took place this Easter weekend, the Bunny Park had its annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday (March 26).

This year, the hunt had more than 150 excited children participating.

“The first 150 received free goody bags filled with sweets, Easter eggs and toys,” said the Easter egg hunt sponsor, Janine Richardson.

Each child had a card with an Easter egg picture on it with eight blank spots.

They had to hunt for a picture of an Easter egg through the market stalls.

“When they found one on a stall, the owner of the store filled in one of their blank spots on their cards,” Richardson said.

The hunt was enthralling for the children as well as the adults.

“The hunt always brings a lot of excitement to the market,” said Richardson.

“It makes the day a special occasion by bringing a real buzz to the market.”

The Bunny Park Market, which has been open for more than 15 years, boasts more than 80 stalls which offer a range of products and food.

The market runs on the last Saturday of every month.
