Volunteers can’t keep their hands off litter

Good deeds didn’t go unnoticed when the Litter Bugs again descended on the parklands in Farrarmere Gardens.

While the volunteers cleaned the area on February 26, a number of children living in the area noticed their presence and were eager to roll up their sleeves and pick up litter in their community.

“After the clean-up, the children asked when we will be back,” said one of the Litter Bugs, Samantha Choles.

“They were very disappointed to hear that it will only be next month.”

The Litter Bugs and their little helpers gathered enough litter to fill 16 large bags.

The group, which was formed in 2014, will again get together on April 15, at 2.30pm, on the corner of Maalstroom and Village roads.
