Bunny Park volunteers plead for assistance
The year is again in full swing, but unlike businesses and schools, the hunger of the animals at the Bunny Park didn't wind down and neither did the feeding.
The Bunny Park Animals 911 Group has continued to feed the bunnies, goats, cows, birds and sheep through the new year.
The group depended in large part on donations from the public and local businesses last year, and needs help once again.
Tania Forrest-Smith, a member of the group, said vegetables and fruit are in strong supply, but pellets are desperately needed.
She said birdseed, bunny pellets and pellets for the larger animals could be donated to the group, which feeds the animals every Sunday.
Forrest-Smith added that extra volunteers will be welcome to help with feeding at the facility.
“It’s the best way for people to see what’s happening; it’s so rewarding to physically feed the animals,” she said.
