Ingrid Carstens wanted something fresh and beautiful done to her hair and face.
Her hair and make-up was done by Passario Salon stylists.
- Hair:
For Ingrid’s hair a blow-out wave was done by Lizel Krüger, Karen Henry and Kerri Loubser.
First, her hair was de-frizzed and straightened with a shampoo.
Then, for colour, an Olaplex treatment – a dark chocolate coloured hair dye – was applied.
The Olaplex also helps to protect the hair against damage and breakage, and ensures the colour lasts.
Foils were applied using a Fanboyage technique to apply the colour to the hair.
Ingrid’s hair was layered, cut and textured – for more movement.
For the final look, curls were ironed into her hair with a Veaudry wand.
- Make-up:
Andri Enslin performed some magic with Ingrid’s make-up.
A pale almond foundation, from the Studio Collection, was applied to her entire face.
To conceal the rings under her eyes and dark lines, a concealer was applied.
No 15 powder from Studio Collection was applied to set the foundation.
Andri then reshaped Ingrid’s eyebrows, to create an upward illusion and define the face.
A pinky brown with bronze was applied in the creases of the eyes – to give a “pushed-back illusion”.
On the lid and beneath the eyebrows a gold-lit eye-shadow highlighter was used to bring the lid and brow bone out.
A black eye-shadow was used with a small brush to line the top of the eyelid and under the eyes, as a liner.
Maybelline Mascara was used on the eye-lashes to thicken them.
A gold shimmer was used in the corner of the eyes to add a bit of glamour to Ingrid’s look.
The shimmer also helped to make the eyes appear larger.
A “Teaberry” powder was used under the cheekbones, to shape the face.
For the lips, a “deep natural” lip liner was used on the outer lip.
A “Brave” coloured lipstick, from Mac, was used.
A luxury gloss called “Skinny Dip”, from Studio Collection, was applied over the lipstick to give shine and “seductiveness”.
