Tambo Narrative Centre opens to the public

The Tambo Narrative Centre offers insight into the life of Oliver Reginald Tambo.

It is situated at the O R Tambo Precinct in Wattville, and was officially launched on Thursday, October 22.

The facility features a number of multimedia storytelling elements, including expressive photographs, newspaper clippings, posters and artwork.

“The present history without the past one will never give you a complete identity, therefore, establishing this institution is our way of affirming our identity and to show appreciation to our heritage as the City of Ekurhuleni,” said Mondli Gungubele, Ekurhuleni mayor.

Jeff Radebe, Minster in the Presidency, applauded the Ekuhuleni for preserving and celebrating Tambo.

The Tambo Narrative Centre is open to members of the public, free of charge, from 9am to 4.30pm on weekdays.
