Woman assaulted at Brentwood Park home

A woman sustained moderate injuries after she was apparently assaulted at her home in Brentwood Park in the early hours of this morning (July 30).

The incident occurred at a complex in Brentwood Park at around 3am.

“Apparently they (criminals) broke into her house while she was asleep,” said Emer-G-Med critical care assistance paramedic Kevin van der Walt.

“She woke up and she was assaulted, apparently with a crowbar.”

Van der Walt said the victim sustained a 4cm to 5cm laceration on her head and was apparently kicked by the intruders.

She was transported to a nearby hospital in a stable condition.
