53 people arrested over the long weekend
The arrests were mainly in the Ivory Park area.
Ekurhuleni North District 1 SAPS had successful policing on the weekend of August 8.
Capt Jethro Mtshali, the spokesperson for Kempton Park SAPS, said 53 people were arrested for various crimes.
They also arrested 34 suspects for contravention of the Disaster Management Act.

The arrests were mainly in the Ivory Park area.
All suspects would have appeared in Thembisa and Kempton Park magistrate’s courts on August 10.
