Terri sprinkles kindness during holiday season

The charity is aimed at creating a positive and memorable holiday by giving gifts, clothing and necessities to residents in need.

Birch Acres resident Terri Bowey (43) looked to spread some holiday cheer in the season of giving by offering assistance to ensure a special Christmas for families and children in need in Bredell.

Despite a global pandemic and economic uncertainty that goes with it, Bowey’s close friends and community members answered the call to buy an extra present and go the extra mile to make sure hundreds of needy individuals were not let down during Christmas.

Bowey thanked the community and friends who managed to make a huge difference to children and their families who may have not otherwise been able to celebrate Christmas.

“I support homeless people. We were able to dig deep to help those less fortunate and give them something special for Christmas.”

Bowey’s Charity thanked everyone from Kempton Park who supported the project by donating food, clothing, dog food and more.

“I received donations from friends in England and Australia which went towards buying the food parcels. The Portuguese women from Boksburg donated presents, sweets and biscuits for all the children and Delucia Properties also donated loads of sweets for the adults.

“Santa and his fairy friends visited Bredell on Christmas Day to hand out all the presents; the adults were spoilt as well.

“I had so many food parcels left, I was able to hand out food and sweets to people on the streets of Kempton Park too.

“If you know of anyone who needs help, contact me, or if you would like to donate, you can contact 082 085 4297.”
