Dan Vee on a journey of musical exploration

Daniel, who describes himself as an acoustic singer-songwriter with strong ties to folk style music, has started branching into other genres of music.

Bedfordview musician and performer Daniel ‘Dan Vee’ Veretnik is on a journey to grow as an artist and explore what he can offer his fans.

The 26-year-old, who first found his interest in music eight years ago, started performing live four years ago.

Daniel, who describes himself as an acoustic singer-songwriter with strong ties to folk style music, has started branching into other genres of music.

“I had a neighbour who was an extremely talented musician and guitar player. He taught me the basics and I just fell in love with music.”

As a musician, Daniel performs covers as well as original songs inspired by true-life events and personal experiences.

“My music is very message-orientated and people who like a good beat will enjoy it.”

Daniel highlighted that his folk music is inspired by the Lumineers, Mumford and Sons, Ed Sheeran, Jeremy Loops and Matthew Mole.

“I enjoyed the raw organic sounds most of those groups and artists created.”

Looking to the future, he hopes to grow himself as a musician and has already started working on two radio/pop-style songs.

“I am on a bit of an exploration, seeing what I am capable of producing to entertain my fans.”

The musician said in recent months he had the opportunity to learn more about producing music and the software involved in the process.

“Knowing how to produce music and having the skills to use the tools is important as a musician.”

Daniel said what he enjoys most about creating music is expressing himself through the instruments and his lyrics.
