The Kia Seltos was introduced to the South African market a mere eight months ago and has since grown in popularity amongst consumers. The Seltos model range made its local introduction with the EX and EX+ derivatives featuring a naturally aspirated 1.6-litre petrol motor and the GT Line receiving its motivation from a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine.
“South Africa was the first export market for the Seltos, and its combination of sharp design, generous space and solid build quality has proved great sales success. Nonetheless, Kia Motors South Africa has added two new variants to the EX range and an additional derivative to the EX+ specification class but now feature Kia’s 1.5-litre, common-rail direct injection, turbocharger with variable geometry, diesel motor. The Seltos CRDI will be on offer with either a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic transmission in EX guise, while the EX+ variants will only offer a six-speed automatic transmission.
The both the Seltos EX and EX+ grades remains the same on the exterior with the exception of the CRDI moniker fitted to the tailgate. All seven exterior colours are available on the diesel variants and encompass Glacier White Pearl, Steel Silver, Gravity Grey, Aurora Black Pearl, Intelligency Blue, Intense Red and Punchy Orange with the latter only available as a special order.
Similar the two-tone colour options also remain intact and are available in the following combinations: Glacier White Pearl with a black roof, Intense Red with a black roof, and Punchy Orange with a white roof, the latter also only available on special order. The interior specification on the EX and EX+ variant also remain the same with cloth upholstery featuring in the EX grade while the EX+ grade sees the addition of leather upholstery and a centre console armrest with additional storage space.

The new 1.5-litre, common-rail direct injection, turbocharger with variable geometry, diesel motor which is capable of 86 kW and 250 N.m of torque. This motivation will see the Seltos CRDI sprint to 100km/h in 11.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 176km/h.
Warranty and service
The Kia Seltos CRDI comes standard with a five-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty and roadside assistance and a five-year/90 000km service plan.
