The all-new entertainment zone at the Rand Show 2020, brought to you by Fundi Education Finance, just keeps getting more exciting.

Entries are now open for Joburg’s Talent the Rand Show’s own epic talent search.

The event will give gifted South African performers their unique place in the spotlight. Joburg’s Talent 2020 is bigger than ever before.

So, if you think you have what it takes to wow the crowds and take your performing career to the next level, now is your time to shine.

There are total cash prizes of R125 000 up for grabs for Joburg’s most impressive and talented contestants, plus golden tickets to the final auditions for Born to Perform at the Teatro and Montecasino in 2021.

It doesn’t stop there.

There will also be vouchers for the Stageworx School of Performing Arts to be won. Vouchers can be put towards classes, showreels, professional photographs, music videos or song production. Finalists will also be given links to their performances, to use on their showreels or to share on social media.

Are you Joburg’s next great talent? Here’s how to enter:

Visit the Rand Show website on https://randshow.co.za/entertainment-zone/ and click on “Enter Here” under Joburg’s Talent before March 1 when entries close.

Fill in the online entry form and select your category. Categories are as follows:

Solo acts aged eight to 25 can enter in the categories singers, dancers, poets and spoken word artists, songwriters and instrumentalists, variety acts, rappers and beatboxers.

Schools and community groups aged eight to 30 can enter in the categories of choir and vocal groups and dancer groups.

Upload a video of yourself or your group performing.

Contestants who are chosen for the live round, starting on April 8, will be contacted by the event organisers.

Solo entries are only open to contestants aged between eight and 25. Group and community performances are open to contestants aged eight to 30.

The prizes for the competition will be broken down as follows for the solo competition.

First prize will be R50 000, second place will receive R25 000, third place R10 000 and fourth place will receive R5 000. The total prize money up for grabs in this category will be R90 000.

The first place prize money for the group and schools competition will be R25 000 and second place will be R10 000.

Additional prizes up for grabs in the solo competition include five golden tickets to the final auditions for Born to Perform at the Teatro and Montecasino in 2021.

Final Auditions will take place from the September 6 to 13.

There will also be R25 000 in vouchers for the Stageworx School of Performing Arts to give away to performers.
