Women invited to charity tea, market in aid of child welfare

All proceeds for the event will go towards the organisation of a Christmas party at the Tembisa Child Welfare

The Mentor Empower and Love Others (MELO) Foundation will host its second annual Ladies’ Tea and Market on September 23.

The charity event will be held at Khutsa Fa, 119 Strydom Street in Birchleigh North, Kempton Park and will start at 11am.

All proceeds for the event will go towards the organisation of a Christmas party at Tembisa Child Welfare.

The theme for the event is ‘Who Am I?’

Speakers will include Dr Neo Maseko (Inter-Disciplinary Education Researcher), Mona Naidoo (Inspirational Speaker and Advocate), Itumeleng Sekhu (Author and Media Personality) and Wilhelmina Bodibe (Founder of Tembisa Child Welfare).

Guests can also expect a make-up workshop by make-up artist and radio personality Kabelo Maidi, entertainment from Choko and TayD as well as a variety of stalls showcasing products from local female entrepreneurs.

Entry is R100 and a pack of sanitary towels. To book a stall costs R150.
