Bringing back Bambanani to Edenvale Festival of Lights

EDENVALE: The band consistently thrill patrons with their energetic ensemble and fabulous rhythm.

It is with great excitement that the Edenvale City Improvement District’s Festival of Lights welcomes back the legendary Bambanani Brass Band.

The brass band has become an integral part of the annual festival of lights and always adds that special something to the event.

Bambanani translates from Ndebele and means “unite”.

Founded in 2000 in Alexander Bambanani hopes to create a service oriented platform to promote and explore South Africa’s vast arts and culture industry whilst enhancing the socio-economic status of local artists in their community.

The band consistently thrill patrons with their energetic ensemble and fabulous rhythm.

Its members can play a variety of music genres including house, jazz, gospel and traditional African music

Be sure to catch the sounds of the bass, trumpet, tuba, trombones and drums as they march up and down Van Riebeeck Avenue on November 25.
