The play focuses on a character called Mary who decides to spice up her life and join Alfredo Leaché’s Background Artistes Agency however she soon learns it isn’t all glamour.
On her journey, Mary meets an eccentric elderly couple, Walter and Enid, who later reveal their true surprising identity – secretary Jessica, who ceaselessly acts out her ambition to be an air hostess and Alfred, the tireless boss who works hard for his actors against all the odds
The play was nominated for the best set, best backstage crew, best supporting actress’ (Chiara Ebersey and Nontokozo Mtetwa), best actress in a comedy (Taylor Sheffield) and best ensemble.
Chiara won best supporting actress.
