Enjoy a show about Winnie the Pooh at the Peoples Theatre

BRAAMFONTEIN – The Peoples Theatre will tell the wonderful story of Winnie the Pooh until 30 April.

The Peoples Theatre in Braamfontein is bringing a special treat for the children, with a hilarious production of Winnie the Pooh showcasing until 30 April.

Audiences can follow the wondrous story of the silly bear and Christopher Robin who teach their friends how to tell and show love and how to find the best way to get honey.

Directed by Jill Girard and Keith Smith, it’s a story of note which will delight children as they join in the larks and pranks of the best-loved bear in the world.

The production features costumes by Linda Wilson, musical direction by Dale Scheepers, a set by Grant Knottenbelt and is staged by Sandy Dyer. It is performed by Andile Magxaki, Thokozani Jiyane, Jaydene Marais, Bradley Nowikow, Gregg Pettigrew and Carmen Tromp, some of whom you have seen before on the Peoples Theatre stage, and some brand-new talent.

There is also a children’s cast of Kieran Wagner, Benjamin Harrison, Ben Wefelmeier, Ndzalo Mdaka, Amber Kaganson, Arthant Karthikeyan and Karla Lotz, all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, who can’t wait to show off their singing, acting and dancing skills.

The musical will be performed until 30 April and there are two shows each day. During school times, shows start at 9am and at 11am, and on public holidays, school holidays and weekends, the shows start at 10.30am and 2.30pm.
