23 suspects arrested by Yeoville police

Yeoville police had a successful few days and arrested 23 suspects in six days.

The following arrests were made:

• 1 for murder
• 8 for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm
• 4 for common assault
• 3 for possession of drugs/dagga
• 1 for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• 1 for intimidation
• 3 for possession of suspected stolen property
• 1 for theft
• 1 for shoplifting.

“Some of the suspects remain in custody while others have paid their fines. We would like to encourage the community to report crimes, big or small,” said the spokesperson for Yeoville Police Station, Captain Sifiso Mabizela.
