Thirty-minute meals: Sloppy Joes

It’s Wednesday and, if you are feeling the mid-week slump, then the last thing you want to do is cook.

With this easy to make recipe, you won’t have to spend hours in the kitchen tonight.

You will need:
* One tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil.
* 500 grams mince.
* A quarter cup brown sugar.
* Two teaspoons to a tablespoon steak spice.
* One medium onion, chopped.
* One small red pepper, chopped.
* One tablespoon red wine vinegar.
* One tablespoon Worcestershire sauce.
* Two cups tomato sauce.
* Two tablespoons tomato paste.
* Four crusty rolls, split, toasted and lightly buttered.

What to do:
Heat a large pan over medium high heat then add oil and meat. Spread the meat around the pan and begin to break it up. Combine brown sugar and steak seasoning and add to the pan and combine. When the meat has browned, add the onion and red peppers. Reduce heat to medium and cook onions, peppers, red wine vinegar and Worcestershire sauce with meat for five minutes. Add tomato sauce and paste, stir to combine. Reduce heat to simmer and cook Sloppy Joe mixture five minutes longer.
Using a large spoon or ice cream scoop, pile the meat onto the toasted, buttered bun bottoms and cover with bun tops. Serve with your favourite sides or sliced tomatoes seasoned with salt and pepper.
