Lionesses thank community, NEWS

EDITOR – At the start of another year, we would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all the wonderful people in our community who have been so generous with their donations.

Your help has enabled us to provide numerous food parcels to the needy families as well as blankets, jerseys and other knitwear in the winter months.

The maternity wards at Edenvale Hospital benefited greatly from our supply of baby starter packs and we enriched the lives of the elderly by supplying them with wool, material and the other requisites for their occupational therapy departments.

Crèches located in informal settlements in Germiston and Tembisa were delighted with toys, books and games they received.

The gratitude expressed by all our recipients is one of amazement that there are people in the world who care about their welfare and we have you, the community, to thank for all we have achieved.

To the entire team at the Bedfordview and Edenvale News, many thanks for all your support and help throughout the year; without you we would not have been able to undertake all our projects.

Thank you once again to each and every one of you for helping us make the lives of those less fortunate a little more tolerable.

We wish you all a very happy and peaceful year ahead and we look forward to your continued support.
