Jeppe SAPS looking for suspect

The Jeppe SAPS is searching for a suspect who robbed residents in a house in Troyeville on October 25.

“It is alleged that a 41-year-old man was in the house with his brother and a friend. The friend went outside to smoke a cigarette and when he returned, he had a friend called ‘Themba’ with him,” said Warrant Officer Munyai of the Jeppe SAPS.

They sat for about two hours then the friend said he was going to bed. “Themba then went outside to smoke and the victim went to bed. Themba then came back, jumped on the bed and produced a knife. He demanded money,” said W/O Munyai.

The suspect took R2 000, three cellular phones and fled on foot.

“A case of armed robbery was opened and anyone who recognises the suspect, or knows of his whereabouts, can contact investigating officer Constable Vincent Mothiba on 082 316 5523 or 011 624-6084.
