East Rand Rangers take second place in street tournament

East Rand Rangers came in second place in the Phatha and Sce Street Tournament in Tembisa.

The East Rand Rangers senior division netball team from Bedfordview took second place in the Phatha and Sce Street Tournament on November 2.

Tembisa, Emfihlweni Section, played host to the street tournament.

The rangers came in second overall out of eight teams, winning every match until the finals where they lost 16-14 to the winning team Cool Running.

Teams who participated in the tournament were Cool Running, Team Divas, Black Birds, Glorious Heats, Born to Shine, Inner City, Golden Girls and East Rand Rangers.

“I am so very proud of my girls. They have worked so hard in this tournament. It is also great to see my work as a coach coming to fruition,” said East Rand Rangers couch Lucy Mbambo.

For now, the Rangers do not have any matches lined up and welcome any interested netball teams who would like to play a match against them.
