Jeppe Girls first soccer team ends season well

Jeppe Girls performed well in the competition, making it all the way to the finals.

The Jeppe High School for Girls first soccer team participated in the JVW Schools League Playoffs on September 22 and 23 at Germiston Football Club.

The competition boasted 160 teams participating from public and private schools in Gauteng.

Jeppe Girls performed well in the competition making it all the way to the finals.

They were defeated by Parktown High School for Girls 1-0.

The first team had a good season and was commended for their outstanding skills, passion, loyalty and discipline.

For the season they won the Johannesburg Stream 4 League and the JVW League Cup.

Another commendable accolade was that the team received no penalty cards throughout the league and all tournaments.

The highlight of the season was Megan Reveley, Naomi Govender and Danica Lotter being selected for the JVW u-19 select team.
