Fun run and walk road closures

The annual Jeppe High School for Girls 5km Fun Run and Walk will take place on August 12.

The race will start at 8am from the main school building of Jeppe High School for Girls.

The school’s Carole Heming said they hope to welcome their keen Kensington walkers and their families to join them.

The 5km route will be manned by marshals and metro police.

One lane of Roberts Avenue and Langermann Drive will be closed for safety reasons, from Mallard to Protea Street.

This lane closure will be from 7.30am to 9.30am.

“We ask residents to be patient or to use alternate routes,” she said.

There will be a Grade Nine entrepreneurial market after the walk.
